I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade at Ascent Academy! This is such a wonderful school! Last year I was the online 6th grade teacher for all Ascent campuses, but I am very excited to get back in the classroom! Education has always been an important part of my life and I hope to instill that in all my students. I graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in History with minors in Art History and Geography. I am also working on getting my MA of Education from the University of Utah, as well as my ESL endorsement. 

I was born and raised in Utah and love it here. I have a 9 year daughter named Lillee, a 10 year old bonus daughter named Kaylee, and my fiancé and I have a brand new baby, Addee, born in May of this year. Addee had open heart surgery at 6 days old and has ongoing health concerns. This make my family extra cautious and dedicated to keeping everyone safe and healthy. I plan to be as diligent as possible in keeping my classroom clean and sanitized this year. 

As a family we enjoy spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, riding side by sides, going to our family cabin, hiking, etc. We also enjoy just hanging out at home with our two dogs. In my spare time I like to read and crochet and spend time with my family, including my 10 nieces and nephews. I love to travel and hope to travel more soon!

I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Ascent!
