I am so excited to be teaching at Ascent Academy West Valley in the 1st grade!  I have been with Ascent Academies since 2014.  I graduated from Florida Southern College and have taught in Florida, Michigan and Utah.  I love to travel, and I absolutely love being a part of the Ascent Academy Network.

I am a life-long learner, and I hope to instill my love of learning into my students.  My students will leave my class not only knowing more academically, but also knowing how to be more independent, kind, respectful and aware of the world around them.  My classroom is a safe place for all students to grow and thrive.  I love Ascent Schools because my students get to be themselves, and learn the way they want to learn with our SEM model and our use of clusters.  My goal is to make sure every one of my students gains knowledge, friendships and confidence this year!  

Outside of school I love to spend time with my husband and son traveling, swimming, camping and just hanging out with our "zoo" of animals at home!  Fun fact about me is that I have been to almost every state in the US and traveled out of the country 3 times.  Also, I own a red-eared slider turtle named Squirtle who likes to run around our house and can fetch an orange nerf ball.

I am so excited to get this year started and see how high these kiddos will soar!  LET'S GO!!!!
