My name is Celeste Shelton and I love teaching at Ascent Academy! I started my education at Boise State University and after a 15-year break to raise a family, I decided to continue to pursue my life-long dream of becoming a teacher. I received my bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, earning a degree in University Studies with a minor in Education and a minor in Marriage and Family Studies. 

I was born in Salt Lake City but raised near Boise, Idaho. My husband and I have four beautiful daughters. As a family we love to watch movies, go hiking, and spend time together. I enjoy reading, running, and baking goodies.
