Hi, my name is Kirsten Williams and I'm excited to be at Ascent Academy!  I have a Bachelors and Masters in Education, and an Elementary Math Endorsement.  I've been teaching for over 15 years and have taught every grade K-4 as well as teachers.  Young learners are the best!  My experience includes charter, district and private schools, and each is unique.  As a teacher my goal is to develop students who are kind, creative, critically thinking leaders that find joy in learning and growth.

When I'm not teaching I love to travel to new places, especially internationally, but somehow keep ending up in Paris. I always take a good book along, since I enjoy getting lost in a good story or learning something new. I've always loved nature but living in Utah has definitely made me more outdoorsy; I love getting into the canyons for a great hike! Cooking has never been my thing but I can't resist a rich dessert. I'm constantly trying new hobbies and am a jack of all trades hoping to be a master at some!
