Hi, my name is Karen Mangome. I'm from Utah and went to Southern Utah University to get my teaching degree. I'm married and have four children. One boy and three girls. I have two dogs and two cats. I love being able to spend time with my family. My favorite hobbies include climbing, running, hiking, anything outdoors, and being able to travel and spend time with my family.

I have always had a love for teaching. Being able to help others learn has been a passion of mine. I love being able to use what students are passionate about and apply it to my teaching. Also, there is more than one way to show the skills, talents, and knowledge that the students have in creative ways.

That is why I'm excited to be teaching 5th grade this year at Ascent Academy.
